PAI is aware of the reported ATM hack that has occurred on two non-PAI ATMs. We are currently reviewing the information we have to validate what occurred so we can provide the appropriate action steps. Other sources have recommended certain action steps be taken.
1. Secure the top of the ATM by replacing the lock.
2. Enable TLS 1.2 on the ATM.
PAI recommends following these steps. If you are using any wireless box, then enabling TLS 1.2 on the ATM will require that the ATM be reprogramed to route directly to the host - i.e. the same exact settings that you would program the ATM for if you had a local internet connection. While this appears to be an immediate solution, PAI will have additional information in the near future to ensure your ATM remains secure.

PURCHASE
Customer purchases or leases machine(s) through Convenient cash and is responsible for cash replenishment. Customer receives 100% of ATM surcharge minus a small processing fee, and utilizes Convenient cash for transaction processing and service
py to replace it.
PLACEMENT
Convenient cash purchases and provides all other services for machine at client’s location(s), including cash replenishment. Client and Convenient cash share in the ATM surcharge based on the number of transactions
